Darrin Mylet

Mr. Mylet founded WINS, a start-up wireless infrastructure, spectrum administration and network management solutions company. Over the past year, Mr. Mylet has been working with several Silicon Valley start-up companies in the wireless and mobile applications sector, specifically Software Defined Radio (www.fullspectrumnet.com) and Cognitive Radio (www.adaptrum.com). In 2009, Mr. Mylet came up with the idea, contributed to the initial grant strategy and application for the North Florida Broadband Authority to develop and implement a “Middle Mile” public/private broadband partnership for 14/28 most rural counties in the State of FL.

Mr. Mylet joined Cantor Fitzgerald in 2003 and left in Jan 2009. While at Cantor, Mr. Mylet was responsible for developing new idea, starting business ventures and worked to grow the firm’s unique trading technologies/business objectives relative to wireless. Mr. Mylet had been working globally with both the public and private sectors in facilitating the management and trading of radio spectrum frequency, Cantor Spectrum Exchange. Worked within multiple Cantor Fitzgerald companies to grow its business with the use of mobile wireless technologies. These include both indoor and outdoor public and private wireless systems and applications for wireless gambling, Cantor Gaming and traditional mobile, Cantor Mobile. Part of team that planned, built and operated first commercial mobile wireless gambling system at Venetian Casino Hotel in Las Vegas. Issued (2) Patents on applying wireless to existing or emerging applications, location based services and alerts with several other patents pending (#7534169 & #7637810).

Prior to joining Cantor-Fitzgerald, Mr. Mylet was with Radiant Networks, a U.K. based pioneer in “physical mesh” broadband wireless equipment vendor, where he was VP Sales & Marketing-Americas from 2000–2003. Prior to this position, Mr. Mylet was an executive with MFS/Worldcom/MCI from 1997 to 2000. From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Mylet was with GTE Corporation (now Verizon). Served Non-Partisan Department of Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee from 2006-2008. Mr. Mylet earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Mr. Mylet has had the honor of speaking at numerous industry events including, DySpan 2007, WCAI, USTA, SUPERCOMM, WISPCON, ISPCON,EU/UK SPECTRUM TRADING, BWWF, NTIA, NATPE,CTIA, Microsoft MobDev Conf, Progress & Freedom Foundation 2007.
